Somewhere in Modesto there is a woman who sews all her own clothes and was once the same size as me, and she is going through her closet and giving her treasures to thrift stores. The clothes she makes are retro fabulous and I can never resist them. I wonder if she made these back when they were in style the first time and now she’s an older lady. Maybe her weight fluctuates and she’s getting rid of things that don’t fit her. Since they show up so regularly, I don’t think that she’s passed and it’s her children donating clothes. I hope not. Hands that can sew such lovely things are a gift to the planet. And me, in particular.

This dress came with a smart little cropped jacket in the same fabric. The styling possibilities are endless.

Shoes: Payless
Tights: Ancient, I honestly have no idea.
Dress: Thrifted
Belt: Thrifted
Necklace: I made it
