My newfound love of coral continues unabated, this time with another serendipitous thrift store find in this coral silk skirt. I’ve had it for a few months already and I’m just now getting around to wearing it, because I’ve just now rescued it from the mending pile. The tag said dry clean only, but I always think of that as a suggestion, so I washed it anyway. The thrift store funk was good and gone, but the skirt was also about an inch shorter while the lining stayed the same size. So eventually I got around to just giving the lining a new hem, and it was all better. Just don’t get Bear started on this habit of mine, he’ll tell you about a few wool sweaters that are now felted and just big enough to fit Atti.
